Life Settlement Services was organized as a professional life settlement brokerage to provide a means for seniors to use their existing life insurance to purchase a vacation home or property of their dreams and receive an immediate financial benefit for a non- performing asset.

With our institutionally funded sources, Life Settlement Services is able to provide settlement for many different types of policies.  The company employs insurance industry and financial services professionals who bring diverse skills to the business of viatical and senior life settlements.  We maintain our underwriting offices in St. Paul, Minnesota to provide the highest quality service to our agents and insureds.

Who We Are

Adam Tillis

Adam Tillis, founder of the company, is a pioneer in the life settlements industry, having established one of the earliest viatical companies with institutional funding of over $600 million in 1994.  Adam began his career in insurance in 1978 with USF&G.  He went on to work as an Excess and Surplus Lines Underwriter for Washburn Associates in Minneapolis until 1987.  He then became Underwriting Manager for Ben-Ezra Associates, an Anchorage based specialty risk Managing General Agency.  Adam co-founded ViatiCare Financial Services, Ltd. in 1993.  He founded Life Settlement Services in 2005.

Jonathan Miller

Jonathan has worked in real estate finance since 2001, first at Washington Mutual Bank and then at several mortgage brokerages. He has experienced success financing millions of dollars of different property types over the last eight years. In 2007 he completed his MBA at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
